The work...is his feelings | the feelings...is his work
An artist has his own perception of the world, he lives in a parallel reality. But when Torben R. Petersen photographing people he is hundred Procent present and gives all his attention to each person he is working with. He's so in contact with the people, that they always influence his personality for the rest of his life. That’s maybe why his portrait photography is that good… viewers can feel what he saw and felt.
Oftes I leave the people, I just have photographed, as more than a photographer. Because I rarely meet people without taking emotionally involved in their lives. Therefore, I see life as an art photographer as a priviligie. I take part when couple make love or having a child. But the grief I am as much part of if someone loses their jobs or their loved ones getting a deadly disease. I'm in and adversity.
